Cutly
Android video tool for short-form creators: shoot a take in clips, read it back as text, and cut the dead air out. No FFmpeg.

Cutly records a take as a series of clips with no length cap, or imports any video on the phone, and turns each one into a project. The editor finds the silences and removes them, keeps a transcript, and burns captions into the export.
Transcription runs on the phone with offline Whisper, or with your own Groq, OpenAI, or Gemini key, and only the audio is sent when you choose that. Silence detection is plain RMS over 20 ms windows, so it needs no speech model.
Export runs on Media3 Transformer over the phone's hardware codecs instead of FFmpeg, so the APK carries no native video binaries. Kotlin and Jetpack Compose with CameraX, covered by 82 unit tests, and open source under Apache 2.0.
